Jekyll and Hyde IIII

Author's Note: We all want things that we know are bad for us. Everyone has dangerous fascinations and unhealthy fixations; some of them are a little harder to explain than others. But most of us know how to keep our impulses in check. We use willpower to fight off our darker instincts. Unfortunately, for others, willpower just isn't enough. The siren call of one's own obsession; simply too strong to resist. The thing we used to want, becomes the thing we now need. Our obsession becomes our compulsion... until eventually we realize, pursuing the one thing we want most in life, has left us without much of a life at all. But in the end, our compulsions are still there. Even if they have pushed us to the brink of death. Or guided us into places of unimaginable horror.

Jekyll thought over his worries for this dangerous, poisonous, rather scarce drug of his creation - this potion that transformed his body from a man of intelligence and wisdom, to this hidden person of interest and crime. (I kind of feel like this man was incredibly filled with an enormous amount of pure stupidity.) As long as Jekyll's back, Hyde can get away with any mess he makes... unless of course Hyde can no longer be hidden. Possibilities ran through the doctor's head rapidly, that possessed his mind:

What if this isn't safe?

What if I somehow trap myself into the wrong side of me?

What if there's no going back?

What if?

The worries were rather apocryphal, until his fantasies turned to reality. For several nights, going to bed as Jekyll, a surprise guest reflected in the mirror one morning - Mr. Hyde.

How?

The father/son relationship revealed itself within the story, as an executive decision had to be made by Jekyll. Without this doctors intention nor permission, Hyde revealed himself. When the mystery came unveiled even further, the two lives of this one man became more threatened each day. Each hour. Each minute. Jekyll had let this come too far, granting his mind to weaken so much that his potion planted itself in his body. Hyde lived in his body. It all came down to one executive decision between this father/son; sacrifice. To rid this horrid character of Hyde so he exists no more, it is up to Jekyll to take control again, live his last moments as the criminal creation of the devil, and end it in the only way possible.

Death.

Jekyll and Hyde III

Author's Note: If everyone was in the same, life would be boring. Between my life at school, work and home, I'm different at each and every setting. My mind and mood all depend on where I am, and who I am around. When I don't like my position, however, I can take control of myself rather than letting my mind take over itself, unveiling any sense of evil. I know who I am and my confidence in my well-being keeps me going everyday. I am myself; I'm not perfect, mistakes are okay to make, and I don't need to prove myself by changing into someone I'm not. "Be yourself. Everyone else is taken." If not, then I wish luck upon your path of destruction.

What prompted Jekyll to consume the potion of his creation is beyond me. Dr. Jekyll's intelligence was appreciated to many. The unexpected mystery of his other side was the beginning to a life-changing experience of dark and evil. Taking the drug for the first time, became a routine for him that caused a potential, severe danger; addiction. Living the life of two people - a chemist and a criminal - it was easy to begin with, but a tragedy was foreseen once he uncontrollably turned to Hyde. Hyde wasn't so much hidden anymore, as he became an easier target day by day. His time had come; here he is now, lying on his death bed. He relies on the help of his good friend Lanyon. Lanyon was reliable, hitherto his encounter with Jekyll's letter. Now he is dead. Jekyll is left with nothing, unless Mr. Utterson who now has some answers, decides to take this letter into consideration and possesses Lanyon's place in saving the life of Jekyll and Hyde.

Jekyll and Hyde II

Author's Note: When I have questions, and do what I can to find the answers to them, I make the situation more complex than it has to be. Many times, the answer is right in front of me and it's just too easy for me to see. The longer I unsuccessfully find an answer though, things become more tense as they get more difficult.

Mr. Utterson continues his search for Mr. Hyde, however he doesn't pay enough attention to signs. Strange events happen around him, and that might just be the kind of answer he's looking for; one that he would never expect. When Dr. Jekyll's demeanor changes, Utterson doesn't come to the conclusion that it's the personality of Mr. Hyde that begins to reveal itself. Is it ironic that every time he sees Dr. Jekyll, Mr Hyde is no where to be found? Is it questionable when Dr. Jekyll acts weird every time Mr. Hyde is brought up in a conversation? The answer will be harder to find as he continues his search for what he's already found... now, he just needs to realize it.

Jekyll and Hyde I

Author’s Note: We fear many things, and we all get that feeling that overcomes our mind, trying to find what we’re really afraid of When it’s not there, our worries thicken as the question becomes more and more mysterious as we feel the desperation for answers,

Mr. Utterson is looking for answers, as he tries to find the person that he doesn’t see right in front of him already; Mr. Hyde. An old friend of his, Dr. Jekyll, was his source to find his answer. After seeing many people roam the streets in the middle of the night, and being introduced to many different, yet mysterious faces, his mind was being taken over one strange situation at a time. He crossed a dark face, which he assumed was Mr. Hyde. Every time he faced him or Dr. Jekyll, he could feel the fear, which expresses the significance of the two figures; they are the answer. He could recall the dark side of Dr. Jekyll when they were younger. It’s just a matter of time before Mr. Utterson reveals the truth, and comes to the realization of the two figures that may actually be identical, or maybe even one
